Carlinville serves as the primary center for healthcare services in MacoupinCounty. The 33-bed hospital has seven primary care physicians on active staff and more than 25 Springfield, St. Louis and Alton doctors on the consulting staff, who represent more than a dozen medical specialties from cardiology to urology.
